Cthulhu Fhtagn! Bondarenko Edition.

Dmitry Bondarenko brings us this jade Cthulhu idol, inspired in part by the Hickman statuette.

I like this version of a Chtulhu statuette. Jade is really hard to simulate as a painted finish given the translucent portions and the refractive properties of this hard stone. A thick coat of gloss over the work would give it a highly polished look and a bit of depth. The following article is more about polymer clay rather than for finishing, but it might be of help in those hoping to simulate jade in their works.
